About the event

If you live in Austin, the rising cost of living is always on your mind. Yet it seems like we are stuck in a never-ending cycle of gentrification, displacement, exploitation, and environmental degradation. But we have the solutions!

Join us on March 12th, in-person (RSVP for address) and/or on Zoom (https://nyu.zoom.us/j/9485905842) for a teach-in on land use and the causes of ongoing gentrification/displacement in the eastern crescent by community powered atx, followed by a panel discussion featuring Amazon Union founder Chris Smalls, Environmental Lawyer Steven Donziger, Austin Organizer Noé Elias.

Walk away with real solutions proposed by the community, knowledge on organizing against corporate exploitation, and (re)imagine housing, environmental, and labor justice in Texas and beyond.
